Adult Therapy

Dr. Webber has a strong foundation in psychotherapy with adults using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), two evidence-based therapeutic orientations. She will emphasize building a positive and supportive therapy experience for you and values collaboration with you to understand your unique psychological needs. She also utilizes psychological testing when it may be helpful to guide the treatment plan and build self-understanding. Her overall care philosophy is holistic to treat various aspects of you: emotional, social, cognitive and physical, not solely focusing on the disease or disorder.

Additionally, Dr. Webber provides therapy for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She uses an evidence-based treatment, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). ERP is a type of CBT that involves exposure to that which causes you anxiety (thoughts, images, objects, and situations) and then helping you to reduce the compulsive behaviors that you have used to control that anxiety. This therapy is done gradually and with compassion, so you need not worry that this therapy will be overly distressing.

Neuropsychological Testing

Dr. Webber offers neuropsychological testing and assessment for adults. She provides adult ADHD testing as well as neurocognitive testing, which is sometimes referred to as neuropsychological or neuropsychiatric testing. She uses only evidence-based tests and evaluation methods in her neuropsychological assessments. She provides mental health services through a combination of virtual sessions and in-person visits at our office in Cary, NC.

Education and Experience

Dr. Webber is a neuropsychologist with over 10 years' experience in providing assessment and treatment services to adults with cognitive deficits from brain injury and other illnesses that can impact thinking skills. She has in recent years focused more on supporting individuals with ADHD through helping them learn behavioral strategies for addressing their struggles in attention and executive functioning.

Dr. Webber earned her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her postdoctoral training at JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in the greater New York City area with rotations on the Brain Trauma Unit and the Center for Head Injuries. She has worked in various clinical settings including large medical centers and residential neurobehavioral programs. She has a subspecialty focus in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and is skilled in providing cognitive rehabilitation and therapy to facilitate adjustment to brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological/medical conditions.
